Who We Are
Jigsaw House Society (JHS) was founded in 2018 by Fezzan Ahmed and Kamal Sanusi in response to the unmet needs of South London’s communities. Both founders grew up in these areas and had first-hand experience working within the charity sector. They noticed a gap between the services large charities aimed to deliver and the actual needs of people from underserved communities.
We saw that while many grassroots organisations were doing fantastic work, they often struggled with sustainability. These organisations were overextended, focusing on crisis management instead of long-term development. Jigsaw House Society was set up to empower these small, community-led organisations, helping them become more effective, efficient, and sustainable.
